Spring Ready with Anthropologie

We love Antrhopologie, and we ESPECIALLY love the Anthropologie store at the Shops at Don Mills here in Toronto! Y’all, as we mentioned in our last post, they have the plus size collection in the store!!!! We don’t find many stores that do that. AND, for those of you living here in Toronto and you want to order from their online store…you can call the store, have them order it for you AND NOT PAY FOR THEM DUTIES Y’ALLS!!! That is what we’re talking about! With that said, we can now move on to some more of our fave looks that we wanted to show you from Antrhopologie!

Gail’s Ethereal Dress

Dress: Anthropologie // Shoes: AliExpress

This fit and flare dress is absolutely glorious and is available in plus and straights sizes! I got it in a size 2X and the fit is perfect. This lovely creation features textured floral pattern that’s been embroidered on to the netting that makes up the dress.

The dress also has puffed sleeves and a cute covered buttons down the front of the dress that are not just decorative, they can be opened. The dress is fully lined on the bodice and skirt portion. Now on a taller person the dress is supposed to be mini so it would hit my taller sisters at about mid thigh. For us shorties the hemline with fall to our knees.

To complete my look at added these cute white and gold earrings and gold sandals.

Leslie’s Confection in Blue

Skirt: Anthropologie (sold out, similar here)// Bag: Anthropologie // Blazer: Zara // Top: Zara (old, similar here) // Shoes: Office (old, similar here) //

For my plus size beauties: Skirt // Top // Blazer //

This beautiful tulle skirt gives me all kinds of good vibes! It’s so cute and, dressed up or down, you can’t help but make a statement!

This skirt is a great wardrobe addition as it can be worn with so many different pieces to create new and interesting looks. For example, wear it with a tank top and denim jacket and sneakers for a more casual feel. Or, rock it with a white shirt tied at the waist and flat or heeled sandals for a bit of a dressier look. The options go on and on!

For this look, I was all about ways to add more colour and print (you know how I love my prints!). So I decided to play on the blue tones by adding this great blazer, then I slipped into this black and white striped top to add in some print and I was feeling myself!

Please note, the sizing for this skirt is quite generous, so pay close attention to the size guide. It is also an elastic waistband so you know you will be comfortable.

As for length, I am 5ft9 and wearing 4 inch heels and you can see where it hits me. It’s a great length for the tall girls, but if you’re on the petite side, you may find it tricky if you did not want it to look maxi length on you.

This pandemic has made me more self-aware in so many ways both big and small, and one of the little things I’ve learned about myself is just how much I love having my hands free! This cross body bag is everything! It can hold all my essentials and keep my hands free all at the same time!

You know I’m all about the versatility of my pieces, particularly at this time, so this skirt is one that can definitely get a lot of wear since I can so easily hit it with the remix!

Now, I’m ready to shed those pajamas and hit the streets in this super cute look!

And that’s the long and short of it!
