You ever want to buy an outfit now thinking you’ll wear it when the weather gets better, when really you want to wear it right now? Well, we’re showing you how to wear this great trench dress right now, and as the temperature begins to climb.
Gail’s Ode to the Trench Dress
So, although Toronto got another dump of snow, spring is still around the corner. Heck, we’ll be springing forward when clock jumps forward by an hour. Now, yes, I, like you am glad that the days are getting longer but I’m not going to lie – the extra hour was AWESOME but not as awesome as this trench coat dress from eShatki!
I love the dress. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, this dress will work! The cotton is light weight enough to work for the Spring and Summer months and with some layering, say a turtleneck underneath, is perfect for Winter and Fall’s cooler breezes.
The dress features a ombre design going from royal blue to a graphite gray all with a herringbone design running the entire length of the dress. I also love the belt that perfect cinches in my waist.
For my Fall/Winter look I added to the knee black croc embossed faux leather boots and a little Chanel, thank you very much. For Spring, I switched out the boots for white pumps for a look that’s perfect for the office. And as always, eShakti has got you covered NO MATTER YOUR SIZE!

This trench dress is LIFE giving! The print, colour and style are a 10/10 for me and it’s versatile enough to rock year round. To demonstrate a little of that versatility I wanted to show you all how I will rock it in winter and this spring!
For winter, I always need to be warm, so I decided to style this look with my white knee high leather boots and a beautiful faux fur coat similar to this one from eShakti (click here). The trench coat gives me all the style and colour I need in a season that can be typically lacking in both. The dress is cotton so it is still breathable and comfortable, but the midi length and long sleeves allow me to wear layers and keep warm against those winter chills.
Once the warmer weather sets in, it’s an easy transition, just removed the coat, push up the sleeves, and trade out the boots for your fave stilettos! I also decided to add a lil somethin’-somethin’ by rocking a corset belt under the matching belt that came with the dress to give it a little je ne sais quoi.
And don’t forget, eShakti really knows how to put you in the drivers seat by allowing you to select the neckline, sleeve length, and hem length for their dresses. You also get to decide if you prefer pockets or no pockets (I’m all about them pockets!).
All in all, the versatility and stylishness of this dress has me totally digging trenches!
And that’s the long & short of it!
