Lewks on Lewks with Anthropologie

We are serving you Anthropologie part 2 babes! We are showing you some of our fab finds from our shopping experience at Anthropologie! Last week we were twinning, this week we went for pieces that would work for work and play! Check it out!

Leslie’s Jumpsuit Jump-off

Jumpsuit: Anthropologie // Necklace: Zara // Bracelet: Zara //

For my plus size babes: Jumpsuit

I am obsessed with a hot jumpsuit fam, but they can sometimes be tricky for me because of the combination of my height (5ft9) and my size (0-2).  The big issue for me is often 1 – will it be long enough in the leg, but even more importantly 2 – is there enough space for my entire torso if I buy my size! My experience with jumpsuits is usually that I have to go up a size or two in order to ensure that I don’t loose my lady bits when I stand up sstraight!LOL  Then, surprisingly, in walks Anthropologie…

While they don’t have a tall collection, I recently learned that their pieces are fit for a taller woman. Gail even found that pieces were extra long for her petite frame. A challenge for her, but a bonus for me (sorry sis)! I cannot think of the last time I tried on a jumpsuit in my size and didn’t wince until our adventure at Anthropologie.  They make a size 0and I was able to stan dup with out any injuries. Incredible!

That said, I lucked out on the sleeves, they’re bracelet length so I did not have to worry about them being too short, but even if they were short, I would have been good because my torso fit! That just never happens!

This jumpsuit is also great as it’s the perfect piece to rock when the temperature starts to fall in a major way. It looks like it could be a maxi dress, with the wide leg, but it’s not so you don’t have to worry abut being demure because you’re in a dress. Go ham gals, run, jump, kick up your feet, no one will see your business! LOL

The polka dot print on this jumpsuit is also another one of my fave things. We saw that polka dot was huge for summer and lucky me, that trend has continued right into fall – whoop whoop!

I really love that Anthropologie has such an eclectic mix of clothing from the more bohemian to the bold to the more classic and sophisticated. Every time I peruse the web site or stroll through the store, I always find something that speaks to my style sensibilities and I love that Gail and I are able to have a shopping experience together that allows both of us to find clothing that speaks to us and that we can both try on right away.  It’s such an incredibly novel experience and one we hope to have at more retailers when (not if) they start carrying straight and plus sizes! This is me speaking it into existence!

Gail – Stripes & Ladders

Dress: Anthropolgie // Pumps: Zara (old) similar here // Fishnet stockings: Torrid

For my tall and straight size babes this dress is available in your size as well!

Even when we ain’t twinning we still winnin in Anthropologie! I’m loving this striped dress now but I must admit when I first saw it on the hanger I wasn’t quite sure if I’d like it but Leslie encouraged me to give it a try – and I’m sure glad I did! This dress is giving me sexy book store owner vibes LOL

It’s a fit and flare style with long puffed sleeves. There are also ties at either side of the dress allowing you to cinch in the waist as needed.

For my plus size petite sisters the length of the hemline hits me at the perfect spot right at my knee.

I wanted to add a little zaza zoo by adding fishnet stockings to the look. Lately, I’ve been on a fishnet stocking kick for some reason. I just find that they add a little somethin somethin to the look.

Using stockings and other accessories are a fun and inexpensive way to jazz up a look. And speaking of accessories, I added these black framed glasses to add the whole sexy book store owner vibe. LOL

Finally, I added some white pumps and fun bracelets to complete my look.

And that’s the long & short of it.

Gail & Leslie xoxo
